A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. hi!Todd Lynn here, first time member. just getting into military firearms and having a hard time finding answers to a question I have. my question is: purchased a 1903a3 nalt ord rifle s/n 5003838 have been reading some negative comments about them, wondering if there is any truth to them. The cast receiver blowing apart or the head spacing stretching?

    Hello everybody.

I'm a modest Lee-Enfield collector and a vintage black powder shotgun hunter (with my gun dogs).

    New member and new collector

Just wanted to say "Hi" and hope to learn a lot from these forums. I discovered this group while trying to find information on validating my SA M1903 Mark I that I rescued from my late grandfather's estate. I also received a 1920 Steyr-Pieper model 1908/34. I am thinking that he brought these back from the war when he served in the Army.
