Hello. Bear Cat here and I'm a new member. Regarding the Krag Jorgensen rifle Model 1898 (mine was manufactured in 1903) was there an inspector with an initial of "D"? On the bottom of the wrist is the stylized "P" proof mark, and above it where the inspector's mark usually is a poorly discernable letter, but it appears to be a "D". I was curious, since so many of these rifles seem to have the N mark only. By the way, by stock also lacks any cartouche on the left side.

Hello I am retired, but was a Naval Intelligence Officer back in the day.
The reason I found you guys was that my Nederland vendor has an old Armalite AR-15 for sale. I am trying to find the serial number list because I think it was sold to the Dutch for evaluation having been made there.
Any ideas?

I am very pleased to join this group and feel I will receive a lot of education and information from other members who have much greater knowledge than I. My interests in firearms are in the areas of U.S. Military, WWi and WWll weapons, and Remington, Savage, and Winchester products.
I reload for nearly all my shooting and have been doing so since the 1960's. Arizona is a very gun-friendly state, and I moved here from California after I retired. Would not go back to CA under any conditions.
I look forward to interfacing with you.

I have a question about inspector markings on a 1898 Springfield Krag-Jorgensen rifle (produced in 1903). Above the stylized "P" proof mark on the bottom of the stock wrist, is what appears to be a "D". I note that most inspector initials on our Krag rifles were made with an "N", but I'm wondering if there was indeed an inspector who used the letter D. Does anyone know?

P38
I am in possession of WW2 Walther P38, 0 Series, serial number 0.36. Do to circumstances I am put in a position of having to sell this gun along with the holster and 2 clips. The gun was taken from a German Officer in the battlefield by my Father-In-Law and I believe it to be unfired. Unfortunately, their are no capture papers and the gun has never been registered.
I was wondering if anyone would be so kind as to advise me of its value and how i may go about selling it. I have attached a number of pictures for your review and look forward to any help you may offer.
