Newbie here. Old enough to have owned some of the more recent milsurp (ie M16icon). Just now getting back around to them. Just picked up a Troy XM177E2 - figured that was about as close as I'd get to the real deal....
Stumbled onto this forum while searching for a De Lisle carbine. Hope to one day either make one or find someone who can.

Good day, all. My name is John. I am from south-central PA, north of Harrisburg about 40 minutes, along the Susquehanna River. I have had an interest in military surplus arms most of my life (68 years now) as a result of a few pieces my father brought home from WWII. As a matter of fact, the first firearm I fired was dad's 1911A1. I also enjoy S&W handguns along with about anything interesting to me. I have been directed here as a result of many Internet searches for information, so I thought it wise to join. Thanks for the opportunity to do so.

    New Member Introduction

Hello all! My name is Mike. I have a great interest in military history and have been collecting military weapons for many years mostly WWI and WWII. Of coarse this is an interest where expensive mistakes can easily be made. Always looking to arm myself with knowledge and this site looks like a great place for that. Thanks in advance for sharing your knowledge and I am hoping to contribute as well.

    Mike
