    Smile Greetings from a new-boy !

    Hello All !
I am a new boy to the site with a new found interest in Carcano Rifles !
I recently purchased a nice refurbished Carcano M38 G 6985 and I am quite fascinated by the late 1930's Italianicon concept for a military rifle ! Being largely ignorant of Italian weaponry, hither to, its proving to be a fascinating ride of enjoyment and interest. As an older person I struggle with a computer's workings but find great interest in a rifles 'modus operandi' !
Seeking help always, could I ask my first question ! what should be the depth of the Lands on an M38 - purpose to understand if it has been well/over used ?? Having fired only 6 rounds so far the front sight is in need of adjustment to the right !
Thank you for any advice !
    I am,
    Czech3. alias JohnH.

    Hello

New to this sight but not to repairing antique guns. And my gun cabinets show it.

    Another new member introduction

    Hi folks,
Lots of good information and expertise on this site for sure. I came here to learn a little more about an old 1903 Springfield passed down to me. Didn't take long to learn that it was made in 1923 by the receiver serial number although the star gauged barrel is dated later (7-29). I have shot it a little with cast bullets for fun and can see why these century old rifles still have such a following. I also have a few combloc rifles and handguns, but nothing else compares to the workmanship of the Springfield!

    Regards,
    buckeye39

    No 4 Mk 1 T sniper

Hello everyone and thanks for adding me to your site. I am just a gun collector and I like WW1/WW2 items. I have just picked up a #4 Mk1 T sniper great rifle shoots very nice but
the scope does not match the rifle so I will give out my numbers to see if anyone has a match.

Scope TEL: STG: No 32. Mk 2/1
    U.I.C. 1400 G.A.
    No 37

    Scope can F37202
    Scope mount 3 68475
Top of but stock 19908 I think some numbers stamped in the wood are hard to read
Rifle numbers H32882 M47C 1944 TR And T stamped on the side
All numbers match on the rifle and the wood case is dated 1944.

The S51 is not stamped on the but stock. If anyone can give me any info on this rifle that would be great.
If any of these numbers match other rifle out there I would make a trade and if anyone out there has the numbers I need please let me know thanks.

Add it to the threads about LE scopes wanted and found. You may have a match there.

Start a thread about your T in the appropriate thread with many photos showing numbers. The experts will be along soon.
