Sterling nut
hi folks; Just joined and looking forward to learning a lot from the vast amount of knowledge this forum draws on. I am interested in older milsurps, own a number of nice old WW 1 and 2 and postwar pieces ( Mauser C96, Webley 455, dewat Sterling) as well as being an avid cannon collector and have a good sized collection of mostly Webley flare guns. Weirdest piece I own is a 38 caliber harpoon gun by Greener a la Quint in Jaws. Occasional 22 target pistol shooter and just generally enjoy the shooting sports and the history of these great old guns. Like others I can remember Lee Enfields in a barrel at the surplus store for 25 each, Arisakas cheaper at 20, and a Sten at 35 bucks. Those were the days!
best regards Chris

Aldis scope on 1916 SMLE
Hi everyone,
New to the site. I am a shooter at Bisley UK. Recently purchased a .303 SMLE with Aldis scope with Purdey mounts. Trying to get it zeroed but limited vertical adjustment. Max elevation set, accurate at 200 yards. I understand that there is a way to increase the vertical cross hair if I take the scope apart. Anybody had similar issues?
Rgds John

New Member Intro
Good Morning,
I found this site trying to research my Remington 03A3, which I got several years back but only recently began shooting it.
I have been a cowboy action shooter for about 20 years and one of the subsets is Wild Bunch and one of that subset is being able to shoot the 03A3.
Through the years I have also collected a well-used Garand, M1 Carbine and a Colt 1911 made in 1918.
I am lucky enough to have an 25 yard indoor range and another 300 yard rifle range near me and enjoy shooting various other pistols and rifles on a regular basis.
I'll try to do some reading on this site in hopes of getting background and information before asking questions.
Thank you!

Hi everyone. I have visited your site a few times and have found it to be a great site. I have purchased a number of WW2 era rifles and and from time to time will seeks your advice. I went to a gun show in a Virginia Beach today looking for an all matching Lee a Enfield. Also was trying to sell a few pistol to help pay for it. As it turns out a collector was selling a 42 Longbranch not matching for about the same price I was selling my Glock 43. We did a simply trade. I’m still in the market for an all matching Lee Enfield no 4 produced in Britain or a Savage. Again I hope I can offer some advice as many of you do....
