    Joining for the Enfield world

I got an Enfield for Christmas one year, but a year or two later had to part with it to pay bills. A couple of months ago I told Number 1 Son that I'd like another, and he bought me one...

Now I have to resist the option to start hunting for an M1icon Carbine to replace that one my father-in-law had and my brother-in-law let get away....

    Kinda new to this

    Good day, folks.

I'm kinda new to the forum (been here awhile but not real active). I'm doing some studying and working on developing skills to do gunsmith work, hoping to get that going for my "retirement project" and stay busy.

Any advice or encouragement would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Hellp..

I'm new here, just recently got into MILSURP rifles, last week I picked up a Mosin Nagant 91/30, nice piece, cleaned it, bought some rounds and it shoots very nicely, and today I picked up a 1923 Enfield MK3..also a nice piece but someone in the past put a Bishop stock on it, and I think it may be cracked due to the rear stock shimmys a bit. Been trying to remove the stock to look but cant figure it out...any suggestions? Anyway, I am looking forward to researching all the markings on both rifles, this should be fun!!....meant Hello...not Hellp...but I do need help..

Welcome to the forum. I'd suggest you try https://www.milsurps.com/forumdisplay.php?f=72
    And https://www.milsurps.com/content.php...united-kingdom
    Good luck!
I have a lot more experience than expertise, still have both eyes and most of my fingers though.

    MichaelT

I'm a milsurps novice with a small collection. Thanks for letting me garner some of your valuable experience in this field, hoping I can avoid as many pitfalls as I can. Thanks again.
