    Introducing myself ...

    Greetings all!

I am new to the Military Surplus Collectors Forum and am making my first required post. I am active on the CMPicon Forum but am striking out in new directions while being hunkered down (i.e., Sheltered in Place). I look forward to learning from you as well as imparting what I know.

    Best regards,

    MadDog 1969

Hello From Hampshire, England - Enfield No.4 Owner

Hi, I've joined last night - nice to meet you all. I've been digging deep into anything Enfield related as I bought a Long Branch made No.4 Mk1* just before the lockdown here... I did manage four trips to the range but was barely getting used to it before everything shut down. On the positive side, I live just 20 minutes drive from Bisley ranges and the legendary Fulton's gunsmiths located there. I'm a full NRA member so am really looking forward to getting back to the range when things settle back to normal (whatever that will be!)

My No.4 is one of the many that were released from the Italianicon navy to Euroarms and although in pretty fair condition, its not a matching numbers rifle. As soon as things open up again I plan to use it for Historic Service Rifle matches but I think I'm going to need some practice first so that's a goal for 2021......

    Stay well all!

    Hi there,

Happy to be here, I've been a gun nerd since I was 10 and spend most of my Free time shooting, repairing, or buying and selling guns. I am mostly into more modern precision rifles, but I've had my fun with mausers, k31s, and mosin and looking forward to continue learning and trying new cool rifles.

    Looking "Starry Squadron" movie

    Hello guys.
Im new on this forum but im looking for "Starry Squadron" movie.
The story is about american pilots who were fight in polish-bolshevic war from 1920.
Main story line was basic on Merian C. Cooper who was one of those pilots.
Yes its same Merian C. Cooper who was a director of first King Kong movie.
The film was shot in cooperation with military aviation. Scenes from the ground battle were filmed at the training ground near Biedruska. Over 200 aircraft were collected to take aerial photographs at the airport in Ławica near Poznań. For the first time in Polish cinematography, battle scenes were shot in the air thanks to cameras mounted on aircraft, operated, among others by Antoni Wawrzyniak and Mieczysław Bilażewski. The premiere of the silent film took place in Poland on April 10, 1930, and the world - in the sound version - in 1933. The film was widely distributed on the Vistula. All copies were taken or destroyed by the Russians after 1945.
If any of you guys know anything about working copy of this movie plese let me know.

    Hello all,
Just wanted to introduce myself and say thanks for adding me. I am, and have been fascinated with both World Wars and the Vietnam conflict since learning about them in High School, 26 years ago and hearing my uncle's war stories in the second world war on a Minesweeper.
Thanks again and I look forward to being a part of this wonderful forum.

    Thanks
    Jason
