    New member from Virginia, USA

    Hello all,

I've been monitoring this site for some time and finally decided to become a member. I collect Britishicon Lee Enfield bolt action rifles and their bayonets (which is a little odd since I'm from a US Navy family and am left handed). I've found the Lee Enfield forum to be a great source of information.

    New guy!

    Hi All,

I'm Kevin, I collect WWI Everything. It was supposed to be the war to end all wars, but was far from it. WWI was such a major turning point in warfare, technology, some could consider it another Renaissance, or even the "Birth" of modern warfare.

My Favorite rifles I own from the period are:

A 1916 Australianicon, Lithgow made, Lee Enfield SMLE MKIII. This particular one belonged to the 4th light horse division and could have been at the evac of Gallipoli, and or went with them to Franceicon. It also has stamps for the Australian WWII Pacific campaign and Korea.

The next is an Imperial Germanicon GEW98 made at Danzig, Poland in 1917. It served WWI and was re-arsenaled in 1920. It then got into the hands of the Italianicon Army sometime during WWII, where it was used in a face off with the Greeks where it was then seized. Then the rifle served again in the Greek Civil War. It was wielded against the Communist party, as the rifle has anti communist slogans carved into it's stock, as well as hashes and some names. it's a very cool piece.

Thanks for reading! excited to be part of the group!

    -Kevin
