That looks a lot like a Ruger 10/22 with carbine sites, a custom handguard, an applied bayo lug, and a mag attached to the standard flush Ruger mag. Is it?

it initially shot a little high so i jb welded a bit of wire with the same diameter as the front sight blade to it.
nobody at the range in calverton notices that its fake. of course, there's a more mouth breathers than rocket scientists there.

neat gun, i thought of trying some thing like that with a repo m1a1 stock. but then i wondered if useing m1 sights on a ruger 10/22 wouldnt hurt the accuracy?

The main reason I recognized it is because I'm in the middle of assembling a "Liberty Training Rifle." The Appleseed bunch has come up with a bunch of mods to do to a 10/22 to make it a good trainer for a battle rifle. Among the mods are a Tech Sites M16icon/AR15-style front and rear (your choice of A1 or A2) sights, an extended mag release, an auto bolt release, and a device that stacks two mags back to back.

(This one also has a handguard and no front band.)

Their solution is outlined HERE and HERE.

The Tech Sites increase the accuracy of the rifle pretty dramatically.

But I like your handguard and the mag is cool!

My first thought was that it was one of those very rare ERMA .22 mag. carbines. I have the .22 variety by Iver Johnson. Shoots well but gets quite powder fouled at the breech.

ERMA is in the center. Last one is BB rifle

    Goo's 22 mag.

As before. I thought his .22 mag might be a rare Erma 22 mag Guess not. I have a Iver Johnson .22 (post Erma) Shoots great but powder fouls easy. Bottom rifle is a BB rifle. Built by Crossman.

Rifle is cocked by pushing straight down on the barrel towards the sights!
