    Let's play a game...... c'mon it's easy......

Ok, so you've opened the page- have a look at the criptic pics below and see if you can guess the rifle. Need model designtion to be correct- the winner gets to post the next puzzle. Clues will be added as needed.

Starting clues- it used to be longer, but now its smaller as well...

'ave a go- the more attempts I see, the more pics and clues you get.....

Oh, well... that was too easy. Yes it was a ConDII, but it had another life after that.

Ok, Claven2.. . what have you got for us to play with?
While he's working on it, here's a couple more pics of the Patt14 No1. It started life as a MLE Mk1*, then in 1905 became a Sht L.E. ConD II, which was Sht L.E. MkI spec. Then it became a Patt 14 No1 .22RF sometime after late 1914. The brass stock disc is dated 3 '15 (issue date). It has a "D" with the arrow inside denoting Australianicon ownership on the butt, and also on the receiver ring. The butt has a cartouche from the EFD ConDII work as well. The rifle is all matching down to the original Long Lee foreend cut down for the first conversion.

Allright, the time is ripe for a harder one (yes, it is a firearm - a very rare one at that. Note the serial number is 13).

    1) What is it?
    2) What is it used for?
    3) What country is it from?
