    A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered.  Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle.     I cannot tell a lie; it is not me. It's my uncle Louis, shown here with one brother and sister, in 1918; there were nine in the family.

    None went overseas, except my Great Aunt Jane. A nurse, she joined the Army (which "nice" women did not do in those days), and worked in several base and field hospitals in Franceicon. I have her photo album; some of her battlefield photos are a bit grisly. I had posted a bunch of them on the old CSPicon 1903 Forum and may do so here some day in the future.
