    M1 Carbine Hammer Mark "UC"

Any idea which manufacture marked their hammers "UC"? Could not find in Craig's book.

Were the Utica Cutlery (UC) marked hammers replacements? If so, when were they first noticed (probably a long shot of a question)?

The person you need to ask is Bill Ricca. Ask if he has the contract listing for Utica Cutlery hammers. Now if it was a QU then it would be Utica Cutlery for Quality Hardware. UC were the replacement hammers and the QU were for contract specific.

Thank you sir. I didn't know that about QU marked hammers. Always learning something new.

Mr. Bill Ricca, what say you regarding the UC marked hammers?
