    Another odd butt plate and recoil plate

    Just unboxed a group of stocks. Happened upon this Type III Winchester stock that has the Korean paint job on it. Its been cut down for the M2 kit inside. Just a remnant of the Crossed Cannons Cartouche left. No Depot stampings that I can see. No P stamps on the front of the grip and not sure about the bottom of the grip since it still has paint on it there.

    Just wondering if anyone has seen this type of Butt plate?
    Also the Recoil plate........Anyone recognize the marking on top of it?
    Korean made?

    The recoil plate is an American casting. I have seen a few varieties of casting marks on the tops of them. I do not know when these were cast because I have records of SA Castings and a 1960's contract and none of them have these odd marks.

    Charlie I have not gotten the posting of PICs down yet. Just started today.
    Two are marked PM-IP and one is un marked but all hav ethe same patteren of dots. I think all are IP.
