A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Fort Belvoir! I was there from September of '69 to December of '70. Then off to Vietnam. From what little I can tell the guy cleaning his M-1 appears to have been in one of the very substantial barrracks I was in for awhile. The old wood framed barracks I was in after AIT didn't have steam heat. I wonder if those guys survived the war. Carl

The '42 rifles look brand new. The '43 gas cylinder is beginning to show a lot of wear.
