    Common, or Uncommon, Marking?

I have a CMPicon "white bag" carbine with what appears to be an ordinance wheel marking on the left side of the rear sight. I've had a few M1icon carbines over the years and don't recall having seen this marking before.

    Is it common or unusual?

Yup SA. Springfield made spare parts after WWII. The ord. stamp is normal on these sights.
When they tell you to behave, they always forget to specify whether to behave well or badly!
