If your going to do a lot of carbine shooting, then buy quality-RCBS or Hornady. If you only plan to shoot the occasional errant beer can then Lee is your ticket. I use Lee exclusively for all calibers as well as my casting supplies. I'm not interested in 1/10th MOA at 1000 yards, just the 8 x 10 inch sheet of paper with an orange dot at 100 yards. As you will learn, the M1 Carbine can be a pain in the *** to reload. It has a very slight taper thus it requires lubrication. I also have a carbide insert because I'm parinoid when it comes to removing a stuck case. You need to use a taper crimp to keep the bullet in place. Keep your MV low to reduce leading if you use cast bullets. Good luck.
