Just buy the darn thing, you can't go wrong. The way the prices are going in the last couple of years, the scope can alone will sell for $3700 by the end of the decade.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I just dropped 2300 for my miss matched sent the scope out for servicing, thats going to run about 500 new wood about 200 so the price was not bad, I believe the rifle was purchased pretty quick, if you did buy it and are not happy give me a shout you never can have enough

Thanks for the advice folks. I had already got my " I'll take it! " in before I even saw the kit being discussed on this site. When I have access to a computer, I always go to CGN Mil. Exchange board first. I put in the stipulation that for that price, every thing must match and be in excellent condition. Fortunatly, the guy lived close enough we could do the exchange in person. A good deal means everyone is happy allround. This was a very good deal!!
