    Smile No.4 T Range report

Finally took my No.4 T to the range today for the first time since moving to SC from NJ a few years ago, and joining a club with a 300 yd. range.

5 shots on the "sight in" range at 70 yds. showed no scope changes needed since last Zero at 100 yds. in NJ, in 2004.

Went over to the 300 yd. range to try to "ring the gong" on the berm.
Stupid me left my No. 32 scope book & .303 trajectory chart at home, so it took 10 rounds to get the gong ringing (without a spotter).

The old T is as good as it ever was! Sure is FUN to shoot, when they don't shoot back.

All in all, a good, unusually cool day in SC.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. This is some fun video, which I thought many collectors here would enjoy. It shows MILSURPS.COM and CGN members ~Angel~, Scott and Badger, shooting various sniper rifles from their personal collections, including a No.4(T) Turn up the volume so you can hear the sound of those plates dropping! Notice the sound delay between the time you see the plate fall, until you hear the metal PING sound return back up range to the shooter's position.

Goo if you were any closer you would be able to hit the target with the case on ejection. Send me all your 303s for a real workout and you get serious with any of the 22 trainers at 200yds.
