    Post card challenge

I thought the Commonwealth collectors here would enjoy this. I want to see how quickly somebody is going to come up with the reason I bought this post card. I am not a post card collector, and the subject matter isn't terribly interesting until you look closely (at least, not for me). Look closely, and you may see what I have found very interesting. My prediction is (as I posted on CGN) is that Claven2 will get it first.

Here is a low resolution version:

I'm guessing you're referring to the Arisakaicon that the 3rd from left man is cleaning?

Edit: and no, I didn't read the CGN thread until after I posted my answer.

The low res photo shows very little, but in high res, I can pick out three arisakas They all appear to be T38's with dust covers in place.

I didn't spend much time looking at the back of the post card, but it was mailed and there should be a year on the postage stamp. When I get a chance, I will post the year it was mailed. When I first saw the card, the description mentioned the Pattern 1907 with hooked quillion and the Lee Enfield, but the "Lee Enfield" had a ladder type rear sight and straight bolt handle! I would love to get one of those Britishicon marked Arisakas in my hands, but I don't think I will hold my breath. The post card is probably about as close as I will come.
