If you can't view the advertisement, it's probably due to the fact that you have to subscribe to the EE (Equipment Exchange) forums on CGN, in order to view them.

    Seller says:

ALL MATCHING 1917 Carl Gustaf M96 MILITARY MATCH or possibly an FSR (Frivilligia skytterorelsen Rifle) = Swedishicon National Shooters Association.

I cannot absolutely confirm what designation this rifle is; according to my Swedish Mauser Collectors book this rifle has certain questions as to its proper designation.

For example the receiver serial number puts it just near the end of the 1917 production lot. Now the receiver, bolt complete, barrel, bands, floor plate, trigger housing all match. So this being said the bolt is turned down? According to the book the only m96's with turned down bolts were one's which were selected to be M-41 Sniper rifles?

The wood numbers bottom stock, hand guard and butt plate are matching but not to the receiver. This would suggest that the rifle received a new stock at the armourer for some reason.

So we have an original CG M96 with a turned down bolt, non-threaded muzzle (which also indicates it was possibly initially selected for a sniper because all M-41 sniper rifles were not allowed to have the treaded muzzle for the blank firing attachment. So now we have two indicators, turned down bolt and intact muzzle pointing to something different.

Anyhow, it's a beautiful example of Swedish Engineering, the stock is in excellent condition, and the bore is perfect. The match sights alone sell for over $100 US on eBay.

Only reason I am selling it is because I am left handed, and usually this is not a problem with righted bolts, but with this one, when I shackle the bolt with my left hand, my hand gets jammed between the bolt handle and the rear peep sight.

So I'm letting it go to another collector. SPF plus shipping. FIRM.
Not sure what the original price was, but it's essentially a standard m96 Swedish military rifle that has been converted and set-up for target shooting. The bolt has been bent down during conversion and the target peep sights fitted. Nice looking wood.

    Regards,
    Badger

The M91/30 front sight was a nice touch. I'm guessing the proper target tunnel sight made the owner a few dollars on e-bay?
