OT but say a prayer for my Uncle, Don Riddle, from dDay then over 110days of combat
front line duty before being pulled back for a rest. Massive stroke. Already had COPD, heart problems. Another of the quiet American boys who went off to war and came back afterwards to raise a family and be a good neighbor.
His only son, Norman R. Riddle USN BUDS/Seal RVN brown water Navy service, preceded him in death by 8 yrs,, his daughter works for our local prosecuter as Exec Secr. Unc Don is a Master Mason, and a good man.
His wife had fallen broke her hip this year and has other problems too, I always felt that Unc Don was waiting for my Aunt to pass before he could go. both in their 80's.
Prayer works.
