Question on markings- SC vs Rem

Was wondering if someone has a link to a site/page that will tell me what markings to look for on Smith Corona and Remington 03a3's. I have a Remington I got years ago that is original and correct but never got into the SC and not sure what marks those would have. I had a link to a few sites but have since lost them. I just got 2 more incomplete rifles to restore,one SC and one Rem. Both missing the bolts and misc other parts. The stocks,externally,look identical and appear to have the same markings except at the tip,the rem has what looks like a number/letter stamp,the SC stock tip has a small dot,possibly an ordnance bomb. IIRC the rem should be R marked? The wood on both of these things is greasy/thick/sticky and I have yet to tear them down and clean and inspect everything. Just wondering what I should be looking for on wood and metal to make them correct. Both have original barrels which look decent inside and I have'nt even cleaned the bores yet.

The main ways totell an SC stock from a Remington:

1) The "circle P" behind the trigger is usually 1/2" for an SC (vs. 7/16" on a Rem.)

2) One of the subinspector markings ahead of the trigger guard is usually in a diamond on an SC stock.

3) Look at the forward end of the inletted area for the lower band spring. It is rounded on a SC stock and "squared" on a Remington.
