    Textbook of Small Arms????

I’m thinking of purchasing the book “The Textbook of Small Arms” as they have reprints selling at reasonable prices.

Question, is there any difference between the newer books and the older originals, meaning are the newer books abridge with less information or are they the same in content as the older originals.

My main interest is any information on the Enfield Rifleicon, testing and development.

    Thank You

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. 1929 copy is the same.

I have a copy of the 1929 version. The reprint is an exact copy.

There is some very good inforamtion on loading and how they cablibrate the velocities to known lots that you will find interesting.
