    M96 swede range report

I had a blast today with my Swedishicon Mauser. I got the action back from the smith on Monday with the Soderin diopter installed. I added an Elit front so I am essentially looking through 2 peep sights. I had to do a minor modification on the rear sight as it was shooting about 5 inches high. Now it's dead on. 140 gr Sierra Game King, 49.5 gr IMR 4064 chronied at 2555'/sec. Not bad for 63 year old eyes if I do say so myself. Regards, Rick.

It's not only a good looking rifle but a good looking range from what I can see.
Nice shooting. Mind if I try your recipe?

Not at all. 39.5 gr IMR4064 with a 140 gr Sierra Game King boat tail, Winchester brass and CCI primer. I suspect the flat base pro hunter may be more accurate but I have none on hand. My range is my back yard as I live on my farm. The neighbors don't complain as there are none. Regards, Rick.

OK, which recipe is correct? You've listed 2 different powder charges.
    Thanks!
