[Why on God's Green Earth would you even consider taking a chance with a valuable piece of American history?

A: there is no "chances" taken. no harm will or can be done.

Oh and there is no way on God's Green Earth that the barrel on my original Trapdoor is as hard as the one on my replica,

    A: who cares.

mainly because they didn't have the technology bad then to make then hard enough for jacketed bullets, which didn't exist to start with

A: so what. The STEEL in those barrels is more than "hard enough" for jacketed bullets. You can "believe" whatever you like, but this won't change reality.

Frankly, I can cast a "plethora" of various lead bullets that are just as accurate as commercial jacketed bullets, but at 25-30 bucks per 50 in a box, it's pretty silly to buy em these days! LOL

It's people like you who destroy American History and don't care. But then your opinion falls right in there with Bobo's for me.

the only way I would feel insulted by your comments would be if you provided ANY facts or evidence to refute me. In what you assert had ANY validity, in this internet information age, it should not be all that hard to do WERE YOU CORRECT.

Unfortunately, instead of edifying (the purpose here I thought), all you do via personal insults and attacks is reinforce other people's negative opinions about yourself.

Oh yeah, I like to think I am pretty respectful of "American History."

not surprising, most people with your viewpoint have never waved, worn, folded, or saluted THE Flag.

I have 4 DD-214s but I keep them in the safe deposit box and you aren't worth the trip to the bank. But how about this?
