An analysis of milsurp bolt rifles @ Camp Perry 2009

Tinkering around looking at rifle performance by type at the 2009 vintage match. No surprise that the K31icon was popular and did well, but big surprise was that Kragicon shooters actually averaged higher. Note that I only used numbers that were associated with identifiable rifles. Scores and X counts are averaged.

With respect, where did the 03 and 03-A3 rifles place in this ranking? Sincerely. BruceV.

Didn't analyze those because of the separate Springfield match, but the 3 competitors that shot an '03 in the Vintage match averaged around 256 with a high place of 116 with an 03A3. The overall average of final scores for the 775 competitors in the Springfield match was 251.6 with 2.7 Xs.

Looks like all the Mausers are lumped together. Any break out by type (Swedishicon, Germanicon, etc)?

Just wondering if the Swedish Mauser did better than the average.

Good catch. I should have broken that out because it did uncover a huge difference that put the Swede Mauser at the top. See updated list. Note that there were Chileanicon and "other" Mausers calculated with the German Mauser list.

Any listing of the "Steyr M95" rifle...

these seems to be an interesting rifle, too bad it not the 8mm Mauser round.

    Are stripper still available?

As the rounds and the clip are insertted together and after final round the clip drops out the bottom.
