    M1 carbine info request

I recently acquired an M1icon carbine and am looking for any and all information that I can get. The receiver is marked Quality HMC with he serial number.
The Barrel side is marked Blue Sky Arlington VA
The barrel top is marked 8-43 with the Ordnance symbol underneath followed by Underwood. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

    Your QHMC is a import.
Give us the serial number with the last 3 digits x'd out, so we can tell you more about what it would have been issued as.
Write down any and all markings you can find....including the stock.
    Pics are a big help.
BTW...QHMC did use Underwood barrels along with other barrel makers. Knowing the serial # would give us an idea if your barrel could be the original.
