A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. If I'm not mistaken, isn't the front sight blade installed backwards? And the glassbeading in the stock is just the icing on the cake... No thanks... KarlKW

Me thinks you're all jealous that you've not managed to fit a 1901 rear sight into an 1892 hand-guard.

    Neither have I....

That gun is in an interesting range. Pity the work that was done on it.

I had quite a discussion with the seller the first time he listed it. He came down quite a bit on price and it looks like he has a bidder. I was interested because I have 22018, but not for the asking price. That an original 92 handguard, no countersink at all to the rivets.
