THese will be GIs of the 90th Infantry the Tough Ombres who liberated Chambois on or around the 15-18th August 1944....uniform is common for that era of the war.....post Bocage and Pre the dash across Franceicon to the Belgian borders......M43 issue clothing not common until the resupply of November 1944
Nice pic....the African/American may be from the 915th Field Arty battalion who were part of the 90th at this stage of the war.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. various stuff like Britishicon TR 1's -2's and Frenchicon Phougots (SP) and VW "Bugs/Beetles" - Replacements for bombed out bridges and some chunks were probably used in the Berlin Wall! Aluminum from B-17 and B-24's and numerous other aircraft was converted into Me109's-FW-190 and Me 262's and "Pots and Pans" for all of Europe..
