Here is another Long Branch serial number update. As you can see, having all the digits in the serial number make are a great help to narrowing the change over serial number on year changes. As noted, there is an overlap of serial numbers especially between 42-43 and 44-45. I have added percentages of the years production based on the serial number input.
Of 378 in the data base, there are 7 No. 4 Mk1/3's, and one No 4 Mk1/2. I know there are more Mk1/2's out there, but don't have that data yet. I've included the differences between Skip Stratton's range data and what I've observed.

    1941 Mk 1 0L244
    1941 M k 1 1L4588

    1942 Mk1* 1L5979
    1942 Mk1* 19L7875

    1943 Mk1* 22L28XX
    1943 Mk1*57L4906

1944 50L66xx (this looks to be an aberration, actual prefix change in the 57L range)
    1944 57L6082
    1944 83L842x

    1945 83L3414
    1945 91L9864

    1949 91L0353
    1949 91L51XX

    1950 91L0510
    1950 96L0012

    PRODUCTION
    Stratton............ COX..........Produced ............COX ....# in list.......%

    41 0L-1L........... 0L-1L........... 10,000 ............1941 .............. 26......... 0.07
    42 1L-20L...........2L-19L ........180,000............ 1942 ...............73........ 0.19
    43 21L-56L......... 22L-57L......... 360,000......... 1943 ..............91.......... 0.24
    44 58L-84L......... 57L-83L......... 260,000........... 1944............. 72............ 0.19
    45 84L-90L.......... 83L-90L........ 79,000............. 1945............ 32............ 0.08
    49 91L................ 91L................ 33,300........... 1949 ............14.............. 0.04
    50 91L-95L.......... 91L-96L........... 46,742............ 1950 ..........70 .............0.19

No4 MK1* LB 1944 62L9145 Butcher job on fore stock to sporterize. No handguards Butt stock may be original. Brass plate with Canadianicon broad arrow in circle. Englandicon import marking. No mil spec magazines. Has 2 reduced capacity (8?) from Santa Fe Magazine, made in Japanicon. Interesting note, it came with a repack bandoleer with strippers and ammo. Ammo headstamp indicates 1957 Iraq manufacture. Has what looks like a 4 with upside down Q.
