    that definitely looks like the real deal: 2nd contract lowwood, with correctly-stamped pistol grip. everything looks right to me. didn't think a 2nd contract would pull in THAT kind of money, however.

    It looks as if the Ebay police pulled the auction, or the seller made a side deal or something.

    Yes but none of the wood is original and replaced by the Greeks while the one on Ebay is all correct. Still priced way too high.

    Last I had seen it, I think it's high bid was $1675.

    And Frank: Bruce is right. The current CMPicon M1A1icon's are greek wood. Only the metal is USGI. Where-as this one was USGI wood and metal.

    I saw that after I posted. The E-BAY one was still to much. Is CMPicon out of real USGI wood? I got this last fall at a local auction. $1,800.00

    Frank: on yours, can you post a picture of the left-side with the wire stock extended? pictures of the rivets (front and back) would also be helpful, as well as a picture of the inside of the buttplate.
