    Another B-Day Gift

Around a week ago I posted photos of the 1958 POFicon No.4 Mk2 that my wife got me as an early b-day gift. Friday was my actual b-day, so I decided to take the day off and attend my first machine gun shoot at Knob Creek. Not only was the shoot great, but I decided to buy myself a b-day gift while I was there, so I picked up a 1950 Long Branch C No.4 MkI* from Brian Dickicon (95L34xx).

Attached are a few photos of the Long Branch and a couple of both the Long Branch and POF.

There are two people I want to thank, first is limpetmine for suggesting the machine gun shoot and meeting up with Brian Dick. The other is Brian Dick, for not only bringing several Long Branches for me to look at, but also for taking the time to talk to me and share some of his knowledge on LE's. The sling attached to the Long Branch was even a b-day gift from Brian Dick -- Thank you!

Excellent choices, and I have heard that the POFicon No.4s are over very good quality and quite underrated.

Glad you made the trip. Brian told me that you dropped in to see him. I improved my 1943 LB with help from Brian, and scored almost 1,000 rnds of HXP for a fair price. I'm surprised it was still there Saturday! KCR is on my "can't miss" list every year, (although I have had to miss more than one!). I've got to save my schekels and hit the Arizona show. I hear that is the one to see! It was a fun day, and had my son with me, even better!
I guess the next "big one" is the Show of Shows in Louisville in a month or so.

What about Wanenmacher's Tulsa Gun Show? Claims to be the "World's Largest Gun Show". My brother-in-law is currently stationed at Fort Sill in Oklahoma learning how to fix radar systems for the Army. I thought about flying to Tulsa to visit him and go to this show.

Any comments from any of you that may live in the area or that have attended this show? Is it worth it?

Not as lucky as you may think. For every Enfield I purchase over a certain dollar amount, she gets a new Coach handbag!

I tried to sneek one past her recently, but when it was delivered and she asked me what was in the box, I was like I . She then me so I acted . That didn't work either so I had to to her and confess. I started as I handed her the money for a new handbag knowing that the money I gave her was suppose to be for my next purchase.

Sorry guys, it has been a slow night!!

Well the December Arizona gun show is the only one I go to every year (but, then it's only a few miles of driving). It really is pretty amazing. All the others here in Phoenix display more junk having nothing to do with guns than firearms. There are better and cheaper places to buy MREs and photos of cowboy actors.

I did meet Brian at last year's show. He has sent a couple of my No. 32 scopes to Peter for refurbishing (in fact, I have another in need of some work and will be contacting him soon). It was fun to put a face with a name. Brian is indeed a grand fellow!

If you're coming to Arizona in December, message me. I'm usually good for a free beer or two.
