Question HELP - Primer ID Questions

I've got 900 (Winchester) WESTERN #8 1/2 Primers in original boxs including the Carton.
Are these Large Rifle? - Small Rifle? - Shotgun or what?? I'll add pictures later tonight. I can't find anything in my reloading books that ID's them.

Winchester made a midsize pistol primer which they used in some .45 ACP production. Midway between Large pistol and small pistol. I have one of these .45 cartridges in my collection.
