    Threads question re snipers

A friend re making a T has parts that don't fit together, the thumbscrews on the scope bracket won't fit the pads he has, so he's wondering what the original thread is for the thumbscrews? Would these also be an enfield in house thread pattern?
I checked the enfield thread site but no go.
    thanks

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Question

I didn't go through all of the blueprints and drawings, however, they might be a good place to check to see if your answer is there.

With thanks to member mudpuppy, there's an article in the Technical Articles for Milsurp Collectors and Re-loaders (click here)

Mechanical Blueprints and Specifications for the Enfield No.4 Mk1(T) Sniper Rifle (click here)

(Includes drawings and specifications for the scope mount, pads, pad screws, thumb screws and cheekpiece)

If you want to get the best images, download the PDF file versions and then use the Adobe PDF reader to blow them up so you don't go blind with a magnifying glass.

    Regards,
    Badger

    They are ¼ B.S.F.
Sounds like someone has used the wrong ones.
