    Fake RMC Acceptance Stamp

    One of the best I've seen, but a fake nevertheless. They are getting better. The flip sight is also questionable.

    They got the cannons pointing at the correct angle this time, but introduced other flaws.

    That seller and his 2 partners use to sell some awesome stocks on Ebay. But lately they've been popping up with some questionable items.

    http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=143768809

    The Frt sight is real.......but look closely at picture #8. No grime or build up what so ever under it.

    If the finish on the barrel and receiver are original it's had a charmed life...doesn't seem to match up to the wear seen on the recoil plate.
    The type IA band has those really shallow round weld spots. You don't see any wear.......even on the edges of the band or any detail on the rear ring of it either. The swivel looks to have never had a sling pulled back and forth thru it.
    The RR marked flip doesn't match the style of 2 known real RR marked bases I have here. I don't want to say...but they aren't the same.
    Note;
    In picture #5 of the rear flip, there is no sign of grime or build up under the base of that flip. A sure give away that it's been removed and or replaced.
    The RMC and CC....If struck that deep should show a sign of something else at the very bottom.

    The Sellers do offer a inspection period. Also never state the carbine is Original.

    Worth almost 2K.......I don't think so....JMHO

    Another one to look at. Note the rear flip, safety, band and swivel markings along with the CC....

    There were at least 2 more sales I'd call questionable on GB, but they've timed out. To old to pull up.

    I've been watching that Rock for the past week and thought the cc stamp looked a little TOO nice. If I was going to seriously consider it I'd have run it by this forum & the Carbine sages that reside here but as we can see, they're already on the job! Thanks guys!

    Your quite right that those sellers sold some "Awesome" stocks on Ebay. I bought two from them; AN IBM and a Quaility. Both authentic and 90% + and due to the competition quite expensive for the time.
    I can't speak to this Rock Ola but I have my DCM Rock Ola in my safe and will try to dig it out for comparitive purposes. Mine is certainly not as 'Crispy' as the GB stock tho.
