2007 Vintage Service Rifle Championship Video

If anyone is going to appreciate a shoot like this
    Its you guys
Even the CGN crowd doesn't seem to "Get It".

Good news is that we mnaged pull off another Championship without any hitches. I started this annual shoot seven years ago now and its evolved quite a bit.

    Cheers
    Richard

    Sounds like a fun shoot

We have the annual EOHC Milshoot and a rough equivalent at Smith's Falls in the Ottawa region. The EOHC shoot is at year 3.

    They are great fun!

    Agree
Now that the shoot has some tenure I'm getting lots more help too. Either way though I'm feelibng a little sad that I'm no longer competing in the championship. I'd rather someone else got the award than me considering I made them.

    Know what I mean?
I get more of a kick out of watching someone else win that receiving an award that I scratch built personally. I see my role now as more as supporting shooting than being an active participant. Its good but it also sucks.

    Congratulations....

Looks like some really fun shooting for everyone ...

I particularly like the match where the shooters had to wear the 37 Pattern webbing set.

We've updated the "Terrace Rod & Gun Club" Vintage Rifle Match Videos (click here) in the "The Screening Room" (click here), with this year's match.

    Regards,
    Badger

I was going to make the same comment as Badger about the shoot in full webbing.

In my grandfathers infantry qualification handbook the course of fire was something like a 200yd run in full kit then 10 shots from kneeling or prone all striking the target in the head or chest in 2 minutes.

I should scan those books for the MKLicon.

It looked to be a fun match, particularly about the wearing the 37 pattern webbing.

Hey dude it's semi-annual (Spring and Fall)!

Way to go - we need to keep these going and spawn more.

That looks like a lot of fun for a bunch of good folks. I wish the people in these parts would run gigs like that, although I can't shoot off hand, I'd go just to help out-SDH

The ORA (Ontario) runs a "Vintage Rifle MAtch" about 3 times per year. We see Garands, Enfields, Mossy Nagats, Swedes, and M98s. great fun.

200 yard prone deliberate, 200 yard prone rapid, 100 yard standing snap and 100 yard standing mover. Time permitting, a 300 yard deliberate.

    Bottles of wine for prizes.

Check schedule in the spring on the ORA website.
