where did they go ? here is an answer.......
came across a government web site yesterday, type in m1 carbine and these where the results. click on the column on the left ,to veiw the file, you can see where the carbines where where shipped to ....i hope some of you find this as interesting as i did

Very interesting, but not a single entry, at least on that search, for Israel. Probably because they did not reach Israel as military aid, but on some sort of police procurement contract. The M1
Carbine was never an IDF issue weapon, and as far as I know, they never were stored or distributed by the IDF. I only ever saw them there with the Border Guards, Police, and Civil Defence personnel.

That makes a lot of sense. "Police procurement" contracts are much more below the radar than military aid. Considering it was not an IDF issue weapon, that would be the way to go.
