    identify this barrel please

I purchased a Brazilianicon M954 Mauser in 3006, and it was supposed to come with a additional barrel, i received both and the 2nd barrel is not the same as the one on rifle, it is quite different..

can anyone identify the markings on this barrel??

not going to go high and left, will wait till i find out what i have, i might be (and not for the first time) wrong, and i do not want to go high and left..

however the physical dimensions of the original barrel on the receiver are quite different than the 2nd barrel

if one looks at the ring and moves out can see that there is quite a discrepancy

Looks like a Belgian proof mark.

That is certainly the Liege proof mark. Check the barrel lengths. If the shorter one is about 0.6" shorter, then my guess is an FN replacement barrel for the Brazilianicon Model 1894 rifle (basically the same as the 1893 Spanish). See Ball "Mauser Military Rifles of the World" , table "Production Data for Mauser.....by FN."

maybe so, but one would think that the replacement barrel would fit in the stock, it does not>> not even close

now the seller will not accept email

here is email i sent, and no reply, could be a legitmate error or mistake, could be a honest mistake, benefit of doubt given but no he has blocked email

    copy>>
    received Tues
However there seems to be some discrepancy on the additional barrel, it is not a replacement barrel for a Brazilianicon m954 Mauser

the dimensions are different , it is wider and simply is not the same, I have no idea what it is for, seems to be in good conditions, but it can not, repeat, can not simply go on the action, for one thing the stock would not go back on, and that is just for starters, total dimensions are different in width and length
    please advise
