Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. This one's got to be the best though.

For those who don't get it, the troops are supposed to be National Service conscripts which is why they're such a 'cross-section' of society. The NCO's are old WWII vets from their ribbons - no wonder they're exasperated!

It was done for/by the History Channel for one of the MailCall episodes.

Its the raw footage of which most never saw the light of day.

We were firing blanks from a Mk I Lithgow icon
