    AR15 Upper?

Does anyone make a AR15 upper receiver that uses a M16A1 rea sight on an intergal carrying handle and has the A2 case deflector?

DPMS makes it too , but why do you want an A1 rear fixed in place carry handle ? just curious ....

ive looked at this platform for its flexibility and the flat top with all the Buis and optic options seems like that would be the way to go , just me

Less weight! I wouldn't mind a "no forward assist" option as well. The deflector is nice in certain set-ups, Mine's currently on a 16" lightweight rifle length gas system, w/ a lightweight bolt carrier, etc.

I've carried them in service for 20 years, and when I built one for myself I went the basic early M16icon upper without fancies. Just function. The way it was first designed. It gave me no problems. I guess what I'm saying is a shooter builds it the way he likes it. One of the nice things about the Colt platform.

My Olympic .223 Plinker came with an upper with the A1 handle and site and the A2 deflector.

As I shoot strong side left, the deflector helps a bit on my rather undergassed 16" rifle length tube set-up. 20" bbls don't really need it. (At least my RH cheek stays clean/unbloodied.)
