M1 CARBINE SLIDE - UNDERWOOD Type 2 Marked *U*
We're sorry to tell you that the item isn't available for purchase anymore. We removed the listing because it likely fell into one of these three categories:
-- The listing doesn't follow eBay guidelines.
-- The item isn't allowed on eBay or can only be listed under certain conditions.
-- The listing contains pictures or words that may have violated copyright or trademark rights.
This is disappointing for everyone, but sometimes it's an action we have to take to protect you as a buyer.
Important: If you won the item and haven't paid for it yet, you don't need to complete the transaction. If you've already paid for the item, we encourage you to contact the seller to get more information about the transaction. If you don't receive the item, your purchase price plus original shipping may be covered by the eBay resolution process:

Philley - Thanks for posting that. I've never seen one before. Talk about convaluted language!
I'm gonna do some research on Carbine bolts/slides that have recently sold on eBay; just to see what the wording is and how the pic's display.

And all this plus the paypal crap is why I no longer have anything to do with eBay.
When they tell you to behave, they always forget to specify whether to behave well or badly!

I just finished selling my last irem and will not go back. I had 12 items for sold and Paypal held all the funds until I got feedback or it hit 21 days after transaction....They make the Mafia blush.

And they keep the interest on all those hundreds of thousands that they hold.

The eBay police don't know 'what is what' concerning M1 carbines. They don't have the manpower to read through the wording of hundreds of thousands of auctions unless they are alerted. They pull auctions when they are reported to cover themselves. Ebay would like for everything to sell for their own profit.
Many auctions are only pulled because someone 'reports' them and eBay then pulls the auction not knowing what it is, then uses the generic reason they pulled it that covers about anything.
I'm sure by his morals and track record, 'George' and maybe a few others scan M1 carbine auctions and 'report' every carbine auction they have time to. George's fraudulent auctions are never pulled because he makes so much money for them and he doesn't 'report' his own auctions. (JMO)

What is with paypal holding funds now? My daughter has had a total of about $500 held selling saddles. It took her a month to get it because the buyer did not leave a feedback. I haven't sold much on EBAY lately, but I haven't held my money except for freezing my account for a non-Ebay prohibited transaction (a long, scary story).

Do any of you remember when ebay started you could list guns? They also dealt in pornography at that time and maybe still do.

That was a long, long time ago. I actually do. They even had a section for antique firearms. I looked at a Winchester 1873 there. There was no Gun Broker or Guns America, and I think Manny Delacruz was just starting Auction Arms.

The word "Slide" is a NO NO!!

I think it was because I had mentioned the word 'Barrel' channel in each, a few were long channel stocks.
I see now that most trying to sell parts there just give a vague description. Such as
M1 Carbine Inland part and give good pictures for potential buyers to see what type it is. Part of it seems to be just getting the short straw also.
Many triggers, bolts and even some barrels are getting thru that way.
But I know how frustrating it can be to see a auction pulled just days before ending.
Good Luck,
Charlie
Well I called ebay again today and insisted the call handler bump me to a supervisor. He was dumb as Mud-Hen to so I requested another bump to the next level supervisor.
This guy actually pulled up,.. my "pulled auction". He then explained the word " slide" in my Title and description caused my auction to be sent to Cyber Heaven.
His advice...don't be to specific... "we don't look at the pictures unless the word content alerts us".

That's what I thought......... a word program.
A recent seller, who's auction has ended had answered questions whether his stock has the M2 cut out.
The seller responded in the Q and A section that when trying to preview his listing before submitting it, it kept getting rejected because of having M2 in the wording.
I seen it in his Q and A section.....it was there.....but now I can't find it using a search of completed auctions under the heading... M1 carbine stock.
Bottom line;
Be vague. Post good pictures. Most will know what your item is. If not they can use the Ask Questions Option.
