Swapped on a whim for a Gustloff-Werke KKW .22 today which has had it's bayonet lug removed. Would it be feasible to use a K98kicon's front end as a replacement without a whole lot of drama? The handguard is gone as well, but that appears to be a "no drama" replacement.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Nose piece DOES interchange with a K98K! Just needs a little file work on the left cross pin hole. The old one has had both sides tweaked a bit, so that nosecap might be an abused replacement. Whilst the "original" was safely stored elsewhere and is now lost forever!

Might start a photo thread if there's any interest in odd details. It's not the best example on the planet, but....

That's about double the price I would expect over here. At that kind of UKicon mark-up, it would perhaps make sense to buy one here and have it exported to a licensed dealer in the UK.
