IP Oval Cut Hi-Wood Stock $1000

I don't recall anyone bringing this to the boards attention.
I just ran across it while searching completed stock auctions.

Any thoughts about this one ?

If the wood went for $1K, I am curious to what the seller got for the metal if he sold it seperately?????

More great items from this seller.
The slings have been hashed over here before.
I would be nervous of anything the seller zamajoe sells

Geez, wonder what he could get for my worn, reparked, IP marked buttplate? Should be worth at least $100....not!

It's a fake. Irwin Pedersen never got to the high wood oval stage before the contract was taken away from them. Look at the IP stamping in the sling well as well as the acceptence stamp on the stock. Way off and not even close to correct.

That is such a shame Charlie. The eBay buyer was taken to the bank.
Very sad there's no way to contact him in the new eBay format to let him know.

(Good catch Charlie, and Bruce saw it too, but I missed it)

I was looking at the physical problems such as the markings for the barrel band and the stamp, etc and didn't think of the technical problem with the oval cut.

I got ya Charlie. Another thing is that if you know what a real one looks like you can see straight away how the IR IP in the slingwell has been messed with. Mikey.
