    Are Savage No.4 K.I*s dated?

Just curious if Savage manufactured No.4 MK.I*s are generally dated.

I have one with no date of manufacture and am wondering if this is an oddity or if Savage perhaps didn't date their No.4 MK.I*s.

    thanks

'41s and some '42s are dated. Majority of production was not dated.

both of mine were dated , but they were both 42s so this doesnt question the previous notations , ive not paid all that much attention to those ive seen , but seems many i have looked at were dated , since these were produced 42-44 mostly i probably have been seeing early ones

    Savage

My un-issued Savage is dated 1943 on butt-socket and stock milled for cutoff.
