    Charger queston

I was watching some Enfield shooting videos recently. The shooters were reloading with a black plastic device simular to a stripper clip.I beleve it was referred to as a charger. Like is it for Enfields alone? If Spring ever comes to this part of Texas,I would like to take my new Longbranch out to the range and a charger would come in handy. Thanks again for all the help & info.

I've never seen a plastic stripper clip, just the metal ones.

The metal thingy that you load a Lee Enfield from above with is called a charger. It is fitted into the charger bridge and the rounds are charged into the magazine with thumb pressure. Can't recall anything about a plastic charger at any time....

I think a stripper clip is the thing that holds an exotic dancer's clothes on until she releases it....

"Stripper clip" is a purely Yank term, I think.

Yes sir, it is. It's used when you spend all your money at a topless bar.

skyking, I just chunked a bunch into the recycle bin that had come with some POFicon ammo, but they looked much worse than in iringtwice's pic. Generally look at the firearm auction sites and the for sale posts here.

I forgot to mention BDLicon LTD a forum supporter, I'm sure he carries them! Look for his link at the top of the home page.
