    Take down trench gun

    Heres an early 97 trench gun 650xxx range (sorry big larry) .
    Before i go any further i will done my asbestos suit i used on the old culvers.

    Tom, I think it might of started off as a trainer.
    When i bought the gun it had correct trench gun stock, cylinder period marked trench barrel .
    Also had a 4x19 winchester handguard on it.
    Was probably convertred at an arsenal in the day didn't pay alot for it.
    Now i need to find a correct Pat Applied handguard to complete it.

    I can't recall seeing a takedown 1897 with the hand stamped markings.

    That looks exactly like the marks in the one I saw, and it also had some kind of "sunburst" bomb next to it.
    It was way too ratty for me. RE-import from South Americaicon or something.
