Never seen or heard of anything like it in my life. But I suspect that it's been used to get around some bit of legislation if the truth be known.

It's also a good illustration of mans ingenuity if he has a hacksaw and a file!

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. KAF it is. It's kind of like going to a never ending combination gunshow/airshow. Its alright here but the mess hall food leaves a lot to be desired. Fortunately there is a lot of alternates on the boardwalk. Its is getting very dry here and very dusty. I'm looking forward to heading home in a couple weeks.

Re the 22 stamped sten I would have to agree with the others that it is likely an attempt by someone to legitimize what would likely have been deemed a prohib. Mind you, with the RCMPs own rules, a lot would depend on what magwell housing was used. And of course, if it was easily convertable to FA.
