    Stevens 520-30 heat guard

I have a stevens 520-30 with what appears to be a heatguard from a mod 12 or 97 Winchester (Pg. 115 US combat shotguns by Bruce N. Canfield) mine is shaped like the top one I need the middle one. Does anyone have one that they would like to trade the winchester for the correct one that I need for the Stevens? Im not looking to sell because that not going to help me. Can anyone help or direct me in the right direction? Thanks

Good luck with that one. I also have a Stevens 520 with the incorrect heat shield and apparently a real heat shield for one of these (that's not already n a gun) is something akin to bigfoot. When you do find one they are a fortune. However, there is a company that makes a good repro, though it is in the white and does not have the distinctive anodized finish on the bayonet lug that gives it the purplish tint. Here's a link if you want to check them out. They are sold out right now but hopefully there will be more as this is the only place I can find that has them. If you find anything else worthwhile, let me know! Good luck!
