This is the story of a man who changed the way battles are fourght, and by doing so, changed history. He commanded armoured corps in Poland, France and Russia. dismissed by Hitler in 1941, he was reinstated in 1944 as Cheif of the Army General Staff, only to be dismissed again in March 1945.

Certainly a major infulance even to this day, his book is well worth reading. Replent with photos and maps, it is a good buy!

Being an old "tanker" from the 60's, I read it twice....
