    GB Auction Warning!

This guy stole pics from an old auction to misrepresent his item. I was the winner of an auction with the same pics. He sent me a completely different buttplate (Rem. 1903A3). I started searching and found an older auction with the same pics. I contacted that guy and he said those pics were his.

When I asked the seller from my auction about the pics, he stopped communication. I haven't received my refund yet.

DO NOT BUY THIS BUTTPLATE! - 1903A3 Buttplate GI new old stock : Stocks at GunBroker.com

When I won the auction, the title was "1903". It is now "1903A3". Go figure.

thats why i always use a picture of the exact item im selling..even new parts have different markings...and maybe a marking that a guy has to have for a special rifle. NEVER USE A FILE PICTURE..

Mike D ,.. The butt plate in the picture shown by your link IS a M1903 milled, fine checkered, butt plate, not a M1903A3 stamped one.

Tom, I think the point that Mike was making is that this was not the part he received, but a M1903A3 instead.

Here's an update - If you read carefully in the description, there is a hand guard ring also included. When he first sent me the wrong buttplate, it was not included. When I was questioning the buttplate, I added that in, and he said it was an oversight and he would send it.

I received the ring a few days later. He mailed it in a $.44 stamped envelope. It was ripped at the bottom, and all I had to do was shake the envelope and it fell out. It was BENT! Shaped like an oval! I sent it back, too.

Today, I received a refund. It was for the price of the item before shipping to me, which was $6.

I lost the cost of shipping the plate to me, cost of shipping it back to him, and then the cost of shipping the ring back to him. Dealing with this guy would be a big risk.

When I found his current auction, I emailed him a WTF message, along with negative feedback from my auction with him. He emailed me today and said, "I changed the auction to 1903A3, so whats the problem? And I won't sell to you anymore, anyway." What a moron.

Just remember guys...click on the feedback score, A+ doesn't mean squat!
